Aircraft Logs v1.5.0 Release Notes

Hey everyone! It's been a few weeks since our last update, so this one covers a bigger batch of work than usual. The headliner is a brand-new consolidated airworthiness report, backed by a compliance-tracking system we rolled out along the way, plus a clearer AD status view and a handful of fixes worth knowing about. Let's dig in.

New: Consolidated airworthiness / checkride-readiness report

You can now generate a single printable report per aircraft that pulls together total time, current inspection status, AD history, and compliance status for recurring FAR checks — everything a DPE, CFI, or A&P typically wants to see in one sitting. It's generated fresh each time you open it, with a timestamp so anyone reviewing it knows exactly how current the data is. Hit Cmd/Ctrl+P to save it as a PDF, the same way the printable logbook already works.

New: Automatic compliance tracking for 91.411, 91.413, and 91.207

Checking off a pitot-static/altimeter test (91.411/413) or an ELT battery check (91.207) on a logbook entry now automatically creates and maintains a real compliance record for that aircraft — due dates included, visible at a glance, and it's what feeds the checkride report above.

New: Form 337 tracking

You can now attach and keep a running list of FAA Form 337s per aircraft. Since a 337 legally belongs to the airframe — filed once, staying with the aircraft through ownership changes — it's tracked at the aircraft level rather than buried in a single logbook entry. This also feeds into the checkride report.

Fixed: AD compliance status is finally trustworthy

We fixed a longstanding issue where every Airworthiness Directive showed up in alarming red regardless of actual status, with no explanation of what was missing. Now: green means compliant, red means genuinely overdue, gray means not applicable — and when something's incomplete, we tell you exactly what to fix instead of leaving you guessing.

Fixed: account preferences

A bug meant your saved preferences — notification choices, display options — could silently fail to save, and a separate permissions bug was blocking non-admin users from saving their own settings at all. Both are resolved; your account is yours to manage.

Also fixed

• A checkout bug that could block trialing users from adding a payment method when converting to a paid plan.
• Two edge cases in the new compliance tracking: deleting a logbook entry now correctly reverts compliance status, and a required checkbox field no longer crashes a save.
• A brief mid-July email delivery hiccup on our end, caught and resolved the same day.
• Several under-the-hood security hardening fixes to admin-only tooling — nothing customer-facing changed, just tightened up.
