By June 1, 1949, inspect the fuel tank baffles at wing Stations 42, 54, and 75 through the handholds in bottom of integral fuel tanks. If baffles are found riveted to angle stiffness, no further action is required. If baffle stiffeners are attached by spotwelds, inspect for cracks. Airplane may continue in service, if no cracks are found in baffles, providing inspection is repeated each 100 hours. If cracking is not extensive and no spotwelds are broken from ribs, the airplane may be operated if inspected each 50 hours.
