Applies to Model 737 series airplanes listed in Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 52-1034, dated July 24, 1970, or later FAA approved revision. \n\n\tCompliance required within the next 400 hours time in service after the effective date of this AD unless already accomplished. \n\n\tTo prevent the separation of the overwing emergency hatch handle cover from the hatch handle assembly causing confusion and possible blockage during an emergency egress, rework the hatch handle cover in accordance with Boeing Service Bulletin 52-1034, dated July 24, 1970, or later FAA approved revision, or an equivalent rework procedure approved by the Chief, Aircraft Engineering Division, FAA Western Region. \n\n\tThis amendment becomes effective September 10, 1970.
