To prevent possible failure of the fuel strainer bowl, replace the present thin fuel strainer bowl gasket with a 1/8-inch thick cork and neoprene gasket supplied by Piper. The bowl seat nut should be tightened only finger tight. The bowl should be carefully examined for signs of flaws or cracks and should be replaced if any are found.
